American national dies from heart attack at Quiapo Internet shop

Sometime past 2pm on Wed, Mar 9, American national John Frederick Warnaca, 47, walked into an Internet shop in Quiapo, Manila. He was assigned a spot and he logged on to his Facebook page. He then began using Facebook’s chat feature.

“Then, other Internet shop customers said that at around 3:30pm, Warnaca had leaned on his seat and stopped moving. This prompted them to call for help. However, Warnaca was already dead when authorities arrived,” reports Zhander Cayabyab on ABS-CBNnews.com.

The report noted: “Based on his recent activity on his Facebook page, Warnaca was talking to a Filipina, believed to be his girlfriend. Their online conversation also showed that the two had an argument before Warnaca died.”

The authorities have already informed the American Embassy about the incident. They are also trying to get in touch with Warnaca’s family. Warnaca was from Fresno, California.
