Alleged hitman killed in Navotas shootout

Considering the business he was allegedly in, the manner of his death was inevitable.

“Russel Datuon, 28, was stopped by police officers patrolling Gov. Pascual Street in Navotas City after he was spotted driving a motorcycle without a license plate at past 3am on Thursday, Feb 6,” reports Rey Galupo in The Philippine Star.

However, instead of submitting himself to police inspection, Datuon reportedly drew his .45 caliber pistol and shot at the police officers. Of course, the cops had no choice but to defend themselves.

According to the report, Datuon was said to be a hitman of the Navotas-based Lando Drug Group.
