This may sound like a plot line for a soap opera, but it happened in the real world.
A flight attendant kidnapped a one-month-old baby last Sat at V. Rama Street, Barangay Sambag Uno, Cebu City, ABS-CBN News reports.
Why would someone steal another person’s child?
According to the suspect, she desperately wants to have a child of her own after suffering two miscarriages.
The mother of the baby, Gelyn Salimbaga, said that she was convinced by the flight attendant to attend a mall event in exchange for PHP1000 and grocery items.
The suspect then instructed Salimbaga to get the baby’s vaccination records at home. When she returned, the suspect and her baby were gone.
Cebu City Police was able to trace the vehicle, which belongs to the suspect’s husband.
After hearing the whole story, Salimbaga decided not to file a case against the suspect.
