The right to be ignorant is free and, apparently, some people have abused this right.
“BPO firm Aegis Malaysia recently drew flak from netizens for running an ad disparaging the Philippines. Now, Aegis, the band behind hits such as ‘Luha,’ ‘Basang Basa sa Ulan,’ and ‘Halik,’ issued a statement on Facebook following comments linking them to the controversial ad,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

Peace tayong lahat.”
The report noted: “Last Wednesday, officials of Aegis Malaysia met with Philippine Ambassador to Malaysia J. Eduardo Malaya to personally convey their company’s apology over its recent ad. The nearly three-minute video explains why Malaysia is a better choice for investors. The Philippines, on the other hand, is described as disaster-prone and has inadequate infrastructure, among issues. The firm has already pulled out the video, but it can still be viewed on some sites.”
