So, everybody’s happy now?
“Adamson University gave a PHP2.5 million cash grant to 100 members of its workers’ union after an amicable settlement of a labor dispute,” reports ANC.
The information came from a statement released by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE, which cofirmed that the Adamson University Faculty and Employees Association had gotten the cash grant.
According to the report, “the dispute arose after the employees association alleged that the university violated a provision of the labor agreement regarding school fees and other related benefits that union members were entitled to.”
Fortunately, after the association filed a Notice to Arbitrate, both management and the union agreed to settle the dispute.
