It happened as the rest of Metro Manila dealt with the deluge brought by Typhoon Mario.
“The mother of actress Cherry Pie Picache was stabbed dead by still still-unidentified assailants inside her house in Scout Dr. Lazcano Street in Barangay Paligsahan, Quezon City on Friday, September 19,” reports ANC.
The victim, Zenaida Sison, 75, was found lying lifeless on the floor in her house’s second floor.
The report noted: “Picache decided to go to her mother’s house after she could not reach her through her mobile phone. When they reached the house at around 5 p.m., Picache had to ask her driver to jump over the gate because her mother was still not responding to their calls.”
Police later estimated that Sison had been dead “for six to 12 hours.”
The report further revealed that Sison lived alone and had three cleaning ladies who took turns in visiting her house. She also employed a gardener.
