Somebody’s got money to burn.
“ABS-CBN Corp plans to spend at least PHP600 million for the construction of two Hollywood-style studios on a 15-hectare lot in Bulacan,” reports Darwin G. Amojelar on InterAksyon.com.
The network will reportedly break ground within the year and expect to complete the two soundstages in the first quarter of 2015.
Around P250 to P300 million will be spent per soundstage. That’s just for starters, as the network eyes building 10 soundstages in the next five years. This is because it would supposely “save about 65-75 percent in shooting location costs with the construction of its soundstages.”
