Abducted woman and baby found in Quiapo

Something doesn’t add up.

“On Thursday, May 8, Karima Sarip, 32, and her 6-month-old baby, who were abducted from their home earlier this week, were found by authorities wandering the streets of Quiapo,” reports ABS-CBN News correspondent Jasmin Romero on ABS-CBNnews.com.

Members of the Manila Police District immediately took the woman and child into custody. Police learned that the kidnappers had simply left the mother and child in Quiapo.

According to Sarip, three armed men barged into their home on Monday, May 5. They were looking for her husband. Her husband managed to hide, so the suspects instead took Sarip and the baby.

The mother anc child were reportedly locked up in a house in Cavite.

The report indicated that the police didn’t divulge the identity of sarip’s husband yet.

According to Supt. Dennis Wagas, chief of the General Assignments Division of the MPD, they will continue with their investigation to identify and arrest the suspects.

However, as the report said, “it was not really clear what the kidnappers wanted from Sarip’s husband.”
