In case you missed it, former Special Assistant to the President-turned-Senator Bong Go posted on his Facebook page on Tuesday, September 13 a series of photos nobody asked for that depicts his “simple” workstation whenever he reports for duty at the Senate.
The senator joked, “Halos hindi na nga ako makahinga. Kung saan ako nag-oopisina, doon din ako kumakain. Mapaprobinsya man o mapa-Manila.” (“I almost don’t have time to breathe. Where I hold office, that’s also where I eat. In the province, or in Manila.”)
Always one with a flair for drama, he added, “Sana nga lahat ay may marangyang bahay at opisina. Kaya nga po huwag basta-basta maniniwala sa mga fake news na meron akong magagarang bahay sa Ayala Alabang. Kapag natapos na ang termino namin ay uuwi na kami ng probinsya, kasi nakikita naman ng mga Pilipino kung gaano ako kasimple.” (“I only wish everybody had a flashy house and office. So please don’t believe fake news that I have a fancy house in Ayala Alabang. When my term is done, I will go home to the province, because as Filipinos see, I really am that simple.”)
You see, guys? He’s a simple man!
Here, a brief compilation of Bong Go and his simple life:
The bulad makes another appearance, this time, amidst nice silverware at a Cabinet meeting.
Go seems to really love his bulad! (Side note: Do not make eye contact when you’re using your hands to put something in your mouth.)
No bulad this time — only shorts and tsinelas during an intimate conversation with Duterte.
Well, there you have it — Bong Go is nothing but Simple McSimpleton. We wonder, has his “simple life” rubbed off on former DBM undersecretary Christopher Lao?
