There are all kinds of bad people preying on kids out there. So, what kind of parents would leave kids all alone and vulnerable to these evil minds?
Three kids living at a house in Barangay 649 Baseco Compound in Tondo, Manila were often left on their own by their parents, who are reportedly separated. The eldest child is a nine-year-old girl, while her siblings are aged 6 years old and 1 year old.
The fact that the kids were often left alone in the house made is easy for one suspect and his two accomplices to take advantage of the stituation. In the early hours of Tue, Jun 7, the suspect reportedly broke into the home where the three kids were left and raped the eldest child right in front of the two other kids. His two companions allegedly stood guard outside the home while he was brutalizing the child.
This was the story that the victim told the police. Baseco police officer-in-charge Maritess Dela Cruz related to ABS-CBN News in Filipino, “The kids said they heard a knock and they thought it was one of their parents so they opened the door.
The victim and her 6-year-old sibling were able to identify rapist as a man who lives in the same barangay. The man was promptly arrested. He has denied the allegation, saying that his wife would confirm that he never left their house.
Meanwhile, the kids have been placed in the custody of the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children. The report didn’t say anything about their parents.
