80-year-old man in Ilocos Sur accidentally shot dead by grandson

Jose Natividad, 80, died while his wife, Naty, 79, was wounded when their grandson accidentally shot them with an improvised .38 caliber revolver at their home at Barangay Poblacion West in San Ildefonso, Ilocos Sur on Tue night, Aug 25.

“Naty told police that her grandson Joseph Natividad Jr., a college student, was playing with a .38 caliber revolver when it went off, hitting Jose in the chest and her in the neck,” reports Raymund Catindig in The Philippine Star.

Naty was brought to the Northside Doctor’s Hospital in Bantay, Ilocos Sur for treatment.

Town police chief Senior Inspector Nilo Racuma said  that they have launched a manhunt for Joseph.
