The report didn’t explain how this particular group got its name, but we’re happy they got caught all the same.
“Inspector Herculano Mago Jr., chief of Mandaluyong Police’s investigation unit, said six males and two females from the notorious Añover-Abraham Robbery Group were arrested inside their hideout along Sta. Maria Street in Sta. Ana district,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
Police revealed that the Añover-Abraham Robbery Group is said to be involved in bus robberies—as well as snatching—in Makati, Mandaluyong, San Juan, Manila and Quezon City. They recovered two pistols, a grenade, ammunition, and a motorcycle from the suspects.
According to the report, among those arrested was a woman named Rosario Domingo (alias “Madam”), the live-in partner of the group’s leader Bernardo Mallari.
Unfortunately, Mallari was able to escape. Police are now hunting him down.
