There are so many crime gangs in the metro that we can hardly keep up with their names.
“At around midnight on Monday, Jan 20, seven men and a woman were arrested in Quezon City after attempting to break into a pawnshop in Barangay Commonwealth using acetylene torches,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
The Quezon City Police, National Capital Region Police Office, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, and the Cordillera Police joined forces for the bust. They discovered that the group had dug up a 20-meter tunnel connecting the apartment they were renting to the pawnshop that they had targeted.

The report quoted witness Jenny Alvior, who said that “a man who introduced himself as an engineer rented the apartment last November 21 and later on offered to rent another unit.” But Alvior said she refused to lease another unit to the suspects because her sister told her she had overheard one of them saying that they planned to leave the apartment without notice.
