An 8-foot-long squid was caught by fishermen on Friday morning (April 6) from Barangay (village) Hadji Taha in Sibutu, Tawi-Tawi in southern Philippines.

The giant squid had to be carried by several fishermen from their boat to the shore.

The footage above (courtesy of Facebook user Kevin Guevara) shows local residents measuring the already lifeless sea giant as people gathered around to see it.

According to a report by GMA News Online, this is the third time the fishermen caught a giant squid in their area.
