We love it when people fight back against criminals.

“At around 10 p.m. on Monday, March 23, a 72-year-old man named Ambrosio G. Bautista reportedly shot and killed last Monday night a suspected ‘akyat-bahay’ man who allegedly broke into his house in Barangay Medicion II-D, in Imus, Cavite,” reports Anthony Giron in Tempo.

Bautista used a Gridlock cal. 9mm to shoot a man identified as John Carlo Papa (alias “Cebu”) as the latter was fleeing from the house.

According to barangay chairman Rommel Nas, Papa had long been involved in robberies in the area.

The report noted: “Bautista surrendered to responding operatives from Police Community Precinct (PCP) IV after shooting the suspect. Investigation showed that Papa had entered the house by destroying the window screen at the second floor. Once inside took a plastic bag containing medicine and PHP4,000 cash.”
