7107 Int’l Music Fest organizers dismiss “Napoles connection” rumors

Now, this is interesting, to say the least.

Apparently, as Edwin P. Sallan reports on InterAksyon.com, there have been “persistent rumors that a son of alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim Napoles is one of the producers of the 7107 International Music Festival headlined by the legendary rock band, Red Hot Chili Peppers.”

On Tuesday, Jan 21, during the press conference for the event, Mike Pio Roda dismissed the rumors as “all false.”

Sallan noted, though, that “despite the constant denials of the organizers, the rumors have refused to die down.”

But will music fans let this rumor get in the way?

The festival will be held at the Global Logistic City in Clark, Angeles, Pampanga on February 22 and 23, and features the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kendrick Lamar, and Kaskade as headliners.
