Perhaps, people just got tired of waiting around for them.
“Land Transportation Office (LTO) spokesperson Jason Salvador said about 7,000 new plates issued under the government’s standardization program remain unclaimed,” reports Reinir Padua in The Philippine Star.
Salvador said dealers already know the availability of the new plates since the LTO had announced it in media. He stated, “If you are an owner of a motor vehicle registered during that period (Feb. 17 to 28), you should already have the new plates by now.”
