It’s never too late to go through high school.
“Flordeliza Edroso, who is 70 years old, graduated from Valenzuela National High School in Valenzuela City last week and is now thinking of going to college,” reports Nathaniel R. Melican in the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
The report revealed that “Edroso said she thoroughly enjoyed the two years she spent in school because she felt like a student again.” She wore the school uniform and liked the fact that her teenage classmates fondly called her “Nanay.”
Edroso said she grabbed the chance to get her high school diploma after decades of getting delayed due to lack of funds or family obligations. Her husband finally encouraged her to pursue her dream. Prior to that, she only got to finish two years of high school.
Edroso is now in luck, as Valenzuela Mayor Rexlon Gatchalian, has offered her a scholarship at Valenzuela Polytechnic
