The Philippine National Police (PNP) needs to do some “general cleaning.”
“According to Pakistani car dealer Kamran Khan Dawood, he was arrested by Manila Police District Anti-Carnapping and Hijacking Unit (MPD-ANCAR) chief Senior Inspector Rommel Geneblazo and six other policemen last Sep 19 due to allegedly questionable documents,” reports Zhander Cayabyab on ABS-CBNnews.com.
Dawood said that the policemen claimed that the cars he was selling were stolen. He said he was then brought by the cops to the MPD station, where they tried to extort PHP300,000 from him in exchange for his release.
The amount was later lowered to PHP100,000, which Dawood gave to the policemen.
The report noted: “MPD director Rolando Asuncion has ordered the arrest of Geneblazo and his 6 personnel, identified as SPO1 Michael Dingding, SPO1 Gerry Rivera, SPO1 Jay-An Pertubos, SPO1 Jonathan Moreno, PO2 Renato Ochinang, and PO2 Marvin de la Cruz.”
