There’s no quick fix for this.
Bureau of Immigration (BI) operatives recently caught at its main office in Manila seven so-called “fixers.”
“BI Commissioner Siefred Mison identified the suspects as Corazon Maghakot Almidez, Elizabeth Reodica, Mary Jane Adducul, Leila Unggang Cataluna, Wilfredo Melencio, Sherwin Bantayan, and Andyson Torreon,” reports Jun Ramirez in the Manila Bulletin.
BI operatives said that the suspects were in possession of passports, most of which were seeking visa extension to prolong their stay in the country. Most of the passports belonged to Americans, Japanese, Koreans, Taiwanese, and Saudi nationals.
