63-year-old woman busted for selling shabu in QC

She doesn’t fit the stereotype of a drug dealer.

“The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency arrested a 63-year-old woman named Cresencia Garcia in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City earlier this week,” reports Francis Wakefield in Tempo.

According to Jacquelyn L. de Guzman, PDEA Regional Office-National Capital Region chief, the suspect “was arrested by the PDEA RO-NCR in Barangay Bahay Toro after selling shabu to a poseur-buyer.”

PDEA agents seized from Garcia “a transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing more or less 500 grams valued at PHP600,000, the PHP1,000 buy-bust money, and her Honda CRV with license plates XFY-122.”

The report revealed that Garcia has actually been under PDEA surveillance for a long time. She is now is detained at the PDEA headquarters in Quezon City.
