A 60-year-old woman named Cresencia Garcia was nabbed for possession of 500 grams of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Quezon City on Wed, Aug 26.

“The suspect was identified as a resident of Barangay Bahay Toro in Project 8, Quezon City. In fact, Garcia was arrested by members of the PDEA Regional Office-National Capital Region (PDEA RO-NCR) in the very same neighborhood,” reports Melnie Ragasa-Jimena on Journal Online.

The report revealed that “a PDEA agent acted as poseur buyer and negotiated to buy PHP1,000 worth of shabu from the suspect.” It turns out that Garcia had more than enough shabu in stock. PDEA said they confiscated shabu with a street value of PHP600,000 from her.

Garcia is now facing charges of violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and Section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs), Article II of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
