“Josephine Garganta, 6, died on the spot after she was crushed to death underneath the wheels of the truck in Navotas City the other night,” reports Rizal Obanil in the Manila Bulletin.
The report revealed that “Ludy, the grandmother of the victim told investigators that she last saw her granddaughter at around 11 pm.” There were witnesses who said that they saw the girl playing near a vulcanizing shop in Barangay North Bay Boulevard South when a white van hit her.
The report went on to explain that “after falling under the wheels, the victim’s body was dragged along for several meters before the van finally sped away.”
But this question needs to be asked: Why was the little girl still out playing near a vilcanizing shop at 11 pm?
