What the heck is happening over there?
“A sinkhole destroyed six houses in Barangay Virac, Itogon in Benguet. In fact, the Mines and Geosciences Bureau has declared the area a hazard zone,’ reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
Residents are blaming the Benguet Corporation for the sinkhole which they believe was caused by the company’s mining activities. They are now planning to sue the company.
The affected residents are now at an evacuation center. Meanwhile, the authorities are conducting an investigation.
