“Mario Duque, 55, who had reportedly been bullying children in his neighborhood in Caloocan City, was charged with slight physical injury in relation to child abuse after he hit a nine-year-old boy with a stone,” reports Rey Galupo in The Philippine Star.
According to the report, Duque got mad at several children who had been playing in front of his house at around 5pm on Saturday, May 24. So, he threw a stone at them. He hit the boy on the head.
The boy’s parents went to the barangay officials, who arrested the suspect.
Police later revealed that Duque had been accused of beating up a 15-year-old boy from the neighborhood last month.
