A 50-year-old unidentified man landed in the hospital after accidentally shooting himself in the penis on Saturday night in Magsingal, Ilocos Sur.
According to Inspector Christopher Bueno, the chief of the Masingal police, the victim’s handgun which was on his baldric (a belt worn over the shoulder to carry firearms with), went off when he accidentally touched it while he was peeing, ABS-CBN News reported.
“At first, he was denying that someone shot him, but according to the investigation, he shot himself,” Bueno told ABS-CBN News in Filipino.
Unfortunately, his member couldn’t be saved and had to be surgically removed in an operation, the report added.
Aside from that, he’ll also face charges for illegal possession of firearms, ABS-CBN News stated.
The guy can’t catch a break.
The victim and his family refused to comment on the incident.
