It’s an unfortunate accident that should serve as a cautionary tale for all of us.
On Tue morning, Jun 28, a 32-year-old man in Bacolod City was crushed to death by a truck.
According to the police report, the man and his brother-in-law were unloading some vegetables and fruits near a pig pen. While the two men were taking care of the delivery, the victim’s five-year-old son was left alone in the truck.
“For some reason, the boy accidentally stepped on the truck’s clutch, prompting it to move backward,” reports Martian Muyco on ABS-CBNnews.com.
The victim died on the spot, as he was pinned against the wall of the pig pen.
Police later discovered that the truck had been left in first gear and the hand brake was loose. The report didn’t say who had been driving.
