1. JUSTICE FOR SLAIN McCANN PHILS ACCT MANAGER
The parents of slain McCann Phils senior account manager Kristelle Davantes have arrived this morning from the Middle East to prepare the wake of their daughter. The body of the 25-year-old was found in Silang, Cavite, on Saturday morning; her mouth was covered with a handkerchief and her hands were tied with a seatbelt, with several wounds on her neck. She was last seen the night before in Bonifacio Global City, where she attended a party at Aracama restaurant, driving her gold Toyota Altis, with plate number PIM 966. The car of the Las Piñas resident is still missing. According to friends, Kristelle recently got a promotion and was engaged to be married this year.  

2. 24TH PHIL TRAVEL MART FEATURES ZAMBOANGA
The 24th annual Philippine Travel Mart held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City highlighted the tourism campaign of Zamboanga City, hailed as Asia’s Latin City. The city aims to revive its glory days and entice tourists to come see its flowers, vintas and centuries-old parks. The city’s tourism campaign tagline is: Zoom in to Zamboanga!

3. DBM SETS ASIDE PHP4 BILLION  FOR DIGITIZATION
The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has set aside some PHP4 billion for the initial phase of its digitization project. The initial term will be five years said DBM undersecretary and chief information officer Richard Moya. The program’s aim will to reduce if not totally eradicate corruption in government.

4. TAAL VOLCANO FEATURED IN NEW KATY PERRY VIDEO
The iconic Taal Volcano in batangas has appeared several times in the latest music video of Australian singer Katy Perry. The music video of the song “Roar” already has over 12 million views on YouTube and showcased the Philippines as a paradise destination.

5. BEWARE OF LIPSTICKS WITH HEAVY METALS
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued an advisory warning the public against 13 different lipsticks which are said to contain heavy metals and lead.  The said products were made in China or are knock-offs of branded ones. The agency also asked the Bureau of Customs to keep these products from entering the country.  The 13 questionable lipstick products have been identified as: Baolishi No. 8, Baolishi No. 20 (green), Baolishi No. 20 (yellow), Baolishi No. 25, Baolishi No. 37, Miss Beauty No. 6, Miss Beauty Vitamin C No. 11, Shijing No. 39, Ling Mei No. 12, Heng Fang No. 8, Popa Italy 3 in 1, L’Oreal No. 209, and Luoys Paris No. 05.
