Since the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) itself is embroiled in several issues, we don’t know if this is a good thing or a bad thing.
“Five foreign carriers will be transferring their operations to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 by July,” reports ANC. The said airlines are Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Delta Air, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, and Emirates Airlines.
The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said the move is would “to help decongest NAIA Terminal 1.”
According to MIAA General Manager Jose Angel Honrado, they’ll monitor airline operations at Terminal 3 for about six months to see if they can ask more foreign airlines to transfer there.
