4 Manila Police District commanders sacked for poor performance

You either shape up or ship out.

“Four police station commanders of the Manila Police District (MPD)—namely, MPD chief Supt. Isagani Genabe Jr. said Supt. Wilson Doromal of Station 11, Supt. Amante Taro of Station 8, Supt. Orlando Mirando of Station 5, and Supt. Ricardo Layug of Station 3—were dismissed from service after scoring low in their respective assessments,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

According to MPD chief Supt. Isagani Genabe Jr., “the removal of underperforming police officials is part of the efforts of Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada’s administration to bring back the glory days of the Manila Police.” After all, they used to be called “Manila’s finest.”
