We know that accidents happen—but it doesn’t make us less shocked when they do.
“It turned out to be a bloody Wednesday when a passenger jeepney, a truck and a motorcycle collided in Barangay Concepcion Uno, Marikina City on Wednesday morning, Dec 11,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
According to jeepney driver Jay Allapisan, who was among the 14 injured, his vehicle turned on its side after avoiding a speeding truck along J.P. Rizal Street. A motorcycle also got hit when the jeepney hit the truck.
Three of Allapisan’s passengers and the motorcycle rider died. Some of the jeepney’s injured passengers claimed that the truck driver, identified as Rey Dumalagan, “seemed to be under the influence of alcohol when the accident occurred.” The police are now addressing this matter.
