It’s good that these things got intercepted.
“On Friday morning, Feb 14, police authorities confiscated 32 boxes containing suspected shabu-making chemicals at the Araneta Center Bus Terminal in Cubao, Quezon City,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com. The boxes were left inside an Isarog bus.
The report quoted Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Chief Supt. Richard Albano who revealed that the boxes contained “liquid chemicals, powdered charcoal, an electric burner, and other tools used in manufacturing shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride).”
Bus passengers had called the authorities after one chemical bottle got broken and a foul smell engulfed the bus.
According to the QCPD, “the boxes, which were dropped off by a pick-up truck at the terminal, were sent by a certain Johnny Lee and were supposed to be delivered to a certain Gerry in Masbate.”
Nobody was arrested in the incident.
