3 Pinoys found guilty of importing guns to the U.S.

Are Filipino criminals stepping up their game?

“Three Filipinos who were nabbed in a sting operation in the Philippines were recently sentenced in Los Angeles for importing military-grade weapons to the United States, including a grenade launcher, a mortar launcher, and 12 machine guns,” reports Nimfa U. Rueda in the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

The three are Sergio Syjuco, 27, who was sentenced Wednesday to seven years in prison. Then there’s Cesar Ubaldo, 28, who got five years. Last but not least is Arjyl Revereza, 27, who got got 4 and a half years. They’ve been convicted for “conspiring to illegally import the weapons and aiding and abetting their importation to the US.”

According to the US Justice Department, Syjuco, Ubaldo, and Revereza “will spend up to three years under supervised release after they get out.”

Meanwhile, we still can’t get over the fact that they had a grenade launcher!
