Did they think it was a “buy 1, take 3” promo?
“The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has issued a cease-and-desist order against BCB Transport Inc., Worthy Transport Inc., and CEM Trans Services Inc. because they have been illegally sharing a certificate of public convenience (CPC),” reports Miguel R. Camus in the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
The cease-and-desist order issued on Monday, Jan 27, covers a total of 29 buses. It will remain in effect until a public hearing to ascertain the veracity of their respective CPCs.
The report went on to reveal that “an evaluation and review of the franchise records of the bus showed that BCB Transport, Inc. under case 2003-0464 was the registered operator although it was now being operated by Worthy Transport, Inc. and CEM Trans Services Inc., without the approval of the LTFRB.”
