Three unidentified brothers, all of whom worked for a construction company, were found dead yesterday after suffocating inside a septic tank in a school in Cuartero, Capiz.
Police said that the deaths occurred during yesterday’s cleanup operations inside Maindang Senior High School in the village of Maindang. The cleanup was done in preparation for the launch of a newly built school building, reported ABS-CBN News.

One of the workers lost consciousness when he went inside the septic tank to clean it up, reported Radyo Inquirer. His two brothers followed him and went inside the tank but they also lost consciousness. All three died of suffocation.
Rescuers from the disaster and risk reduction management council from the nearby Roxas City were able to extract the cadavers of the three men from the septic tank.
They were all employees of SDB Construction and residents of the village of Majanlud in the town of Sapian, Capiz, reported RMN. Their bodies are currently in a funeral home in Cuartero.
The authorities are still investigating the incident.
