Three alleged members of the Maute group were arrested by the Philippine Coast Guard in Iloilo City Sunday.

The alleged Maute members were on board M/V St. Therese of Child Jesus by 2Go Travel from Cagayan de Oro and were bound for Manila, according to the vessel’s sea marshal.

The vessel had a stopover in Iloilo when the suspects were arrested.

Lt. Senior Grade Edison Diaz, acting station commander of Iloilo PCG, said the three were arrested by virtue of Arrest Order No. 2 issued by Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana.

The authorities refused to release the names of the arrested Maute suspects pending interrogation and validation.
