The Philippine Star reported that at least 12 people were arrested in Metro Manila 7 in Pasig, 3 in Pasay, 2 in Parañaque, each in northern Metro Manila and in Quezon City, according to National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Director Leonardo Espina.
Espina has directed the NCRPO’s five police districts to crack down on liquor ban violators to secure today’s midterm elections. The ban prohibits the selling and buying of liquor as well as drinking in public ends at midnight on May 13.
