At least 24 people were hurt when a passenger bus crasshed onto an MRT post in Cubao, Quezon City, on Monday afternoon.
According to an Inquirer News report, the passengers as well as the driver, identified as Joselito Segudisan, were brought to the Quirino Memorial Medical Center for treatment.The accident took place at the northbound lane of Edsa in front of Farmers Plaza at 3:30 p.m.
Initial investigation showed that the Mayamy bus driven by Segudisan had just come from P. Tuazon Boulevard when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The bus swerved and subsequently crashed onto one of the concrete posts of the MRT.
A traffic enforcer who witnessed the accident told police that the bus was not traveling at high speed.
