PNP needs 21,200 cops

Here’s your chance to be a part of the “change” that is coming to our country.

The Philippine National Police is looking for thousands of rookie police officers to strengthen public safety forces. The National Police Commission (Napolcom) approved 21,200 recruitment slots for Police Officer 1, according to the Napolcom website.

Napolcom Vice-Chairman and Executive Officer Atty. Rogelio T. Casurao said that PNP will recruit 10,000 civilians for the regular recruitment quota and 11,200 new police officers for the attrition recruitment quota.

What’s the difference?

The regular recruitment quota is intended to strengthen the Public Safety Forces and to support personnel build-up.

On the other hand, attrition recruitment quota is intended to replenish personnel loss due to retirement, death, resignation from the police service.

“Chiefs of PNP offices/units and members of the PNP Regional Screening Committees are required to ensure strict compliance with the recruitment procedures and guarantee the appointment of the best and most qualified police personnel, otherwise, they would be subjected to administrative sanctions,” Casurao stressed.

Applications can be filed at the National Capital Regional Police Office (NCRPO) in Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan Taguig City and at the Police Regional Offices nationwide.
