2,000 kilos of imported French meat thrown away in Ilocos Sur

As the French would say, “Merde!”

“On Wed, Apr 27, the Provincial Quarantine Office in Ilocos Sur on Wednesday disposed of 2,000 kilos of frozen chicken and pork meat from France,” reports Bryan Realgo on ABS-CBNnews.com.

The report noted: “The meats were confiscated last month at a quarantine checkpoint set up in the town of Tagudin, after authorities discovered inconsistencies in the shipping permit. The permit said the van would carry different frozen products but authorities later found boxes of imported frozen meat.”

The entire 2,000-kilo frozen meat shipment was placed into a landfill.
