20 women rescued from KTV bar

When will these kinds of places be shut down for good?

“On Wednesday, May 7, around 20 women were rescued by the Interpol Division of the National Bureau of Immigration (NBI) from a KTV bar along Macapagal Boulevard in Pasay City,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

According to the NBI, “most of the KTV bar’s customers are Chinese, and they are also offered Chinese women, who are being paid PHP15,000 to PHP20,000 for their services.”

As such, the NBI will coordinate with the Bureau of Immigration to check if the said “Chinese women” have pertinent papers or permits to work in the country.
