20 Metro Manila schools considering 4-day school week

Would this move really help?

“The Department of Education (DepEd) said at least 20 schools in Metro Manila may implement a four-day week to help reduce the daily volume of commuters as major road works begin in the National Capital Region,” reports Lira Dalangin-Fernandez on InterAksyon.com.

At the Feb 24 hearing of the Metro Manila Development committee in the House of Representatives, DepEd Assistant Secretary Tonisito Umali named the following schools:

MANILA

1. P. Zamora Elementary School
2. C.P. Garcia High School
3. Legarda Elementary School
4. R. Palma Elementary School
5. E. Rodriguez High School
6. C. Salvador Elementary School
7. Bagong Barangay Elementary School

QUEZON CITY

1. Balingasan Elementary School
2. San Jose Elementary School
3. San Jose High School
4. Masambong Elementary School
5. Betty Go Elementary School
6. C. Albert High School
7. M. Roxas High School

CALOOCAN

1. Grace Park Elementary School
2. Grace Park Annex

PARAŇAQUE

1. Parañaque and Tambo Elementary School

PASAY

1. Kalayaan High School

VALENZUELA

1. Malinta Elementary School

MALABON
