Two women — identified as Estrella Clarito and Erica dela Cruz — were arrested at a hotel in Manila for allegedly peddling three underage girls aged 13, 14, and 15 years old for sexual services.
The entrapment operation was done by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the United States Department of Homeland Security operatives.
Despite the evidence that they had repeatedly peddled the underage girls to foreigners via the Internet or text messages, the women claimed that they were just accompanying the girls because they wanted to swim in the hotel’s pool. (from a TV Patrol report)
