2 Spanish cannons dug up in Binondo

Wow! When they say you can find everything in Binondo, they sure mean it.

“Workers from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) unearthed two Spanish-era cannons while they were working on a drainage system in Muelle de la Industria in Juan Luna Street, Binondo, Manila,” reports dzMM correspondent Zhander Cayabyab on ABS-CBNnews.com.

The report said the cannons weigh a ton each, and are about three meters long.

One of the cannons was removed by a backhoe, while the is still waiting for a bigger truck to remove the other cannon.

Manila Police District (MPD) Bomb Squad Chief Inspector Arnold Santos said they will turn over the cannons to Camp Crame.
