Police are investigating the shooting and death of two bus passengers in Muntinlupa last Friday.
Wenceslao Malabanan, a 55-year-old tricycle driver and Marcelo Mendoza, a 50-year-old gardener of Talisay, Batangas were both shot in the head as the bus was northbound on the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX). The driver, upon hearing the gunshots pulled the vehicle over. The gunmen then disembarked and fled. The other passengers also disembarked and ran away from the bus leaving no witnesses to the crime.
According to Inquirer News, responding policemen were able to give chase to the suspects, but lost track of them near the public cemetary in Barangay Putatan, Muntinlupa.
