Two nursing graduates and a student were found stabbed to death inside a partly constructed house in Caloocan City on Sunday.

Victim Arjay Belencio, a nursing student, was living in the house owned by his London-based sibling to oversee its construction. He invited friends Mona Ismael and Glydel Belonio, who were both studying for the nursing board exam, to live in the same house.

Their dead bodies were discovered by their neighbor Johnny Aliansas after he was told by the victims’ relatives to check on them because they failed to answer multiple phone calls. Ismael and Belonio were found dead in one room, while Beloncio, who had a knife stuck on his back, was found lifeless in another.

Dario Menor, chief of Caloocan City police, alleged that Belencio discovered that he was being swindled by the carpenters whom he had hired to build the house. Belencio also allegedly discovered that some of them have been smoking marijuana, prompting the suspects to kill him, Ismael, and Belonio.

The police alleged that Belencio’s ATM cards were missing, which were connected to bank accounts that funded the house’s construction.

Officials have yet to identify the suspects, who will be charged with three counts of murder.
