It happened in an underpass right near the Manila City Hall.
“Two men — one named as Ariel Salita and the other still unidentified — were killed after they were shot by an unidentified suspect at around 6pm on Jan 1,” reports Rizal Obanil in the Manila Bulletin.
Aside from the two fatalities, there was one individual who was wounded. A man named Lucky Fernandez was injured in the shooting, but he lived up to his name and was rushed to the Philippine General Hospital for treatment.
The report revealed that according to Gladys De Jesus, the barangay chairwoman of Barangay 657 in Intramuros, those who were injured and killed have robbery records.
