Bus riders, beware!
“Passengers of two buses from a single company were robbed along Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) on late Monday evening and early Tuesday,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
Bus robbery No. 1: Four armed men boarded a Baclaran-bound Malanday Metrolink bus and declared a robbery when the bus was along EDSA-Kamuning at around 1025 pm on Monday, Nov. 25 The bus’ 13 passengers gave up their cellphones and wallets.
Bus robbery No. 2: A Malanday Metrolink bus bound for Valenzuela, occurred at 2 am on Tuesday, Nov 26. Four men boarded the bus along North EDSA and declared a robbery when the bus was along EDSA-Muñoz. Six passengers lost their valuables to the armed suspects. The robbers also took the bus’ earnings.
The police are now investigating whether the two robberies involved the same suspects.
According to the report, Quezon City Police District (QCPD) chief Sr. Supt. Richard Albano admitted in a dzMM interview that they do not have enough policemen to ensure safety of people commuting during the so-called ungodly hours.
