Let’s hope there won’t be places like these anymore.
“On Tuesday, Feb 18, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents arrested around 20 male employees of two fake call centers in Quezon City that allegedly engage in cybersex operations through Facebook,” reports Camille Diola on Philstar.com.
According to the report, the NBI stormed Netuwako Call Center in Novaliches and PA Microsource Incorporated along Congressional Avenue. Both places had male “agents” who created fake Facebook profiles and e-mail accounts. They pretended to be female models to lure potential cybersex patrons.
The report explained that “clients would then be invited to click on hyperlinks and sign up in websites offering child pornography for a fee.” Then, the employees would be given a commission of PHP400 to PHP500 once a client logs on to the adult websites.
The suspects have been charged for violating the Anti-Child Pornography Act due to evidence found on the computer units.
