2 dead bodies in balikbayan boxes found in QC

Shocking things come in the most familiar packages.

“At around 530 am on Wednesday, Nov 27, witness Mercy Bitara discovered the bodies of two men stuffed in balikbayan boxes along Calamba Street in Barangay Lourdes, Quezon City,” reports Janvic Mateo in The Philippine Star.

The men, whom police believe to be victims of summary execution, have yet to be identified.

According to Police Officer 2 Alvin Quisumbing of the Quezon City Police District Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit, the victims bore choke marks and had metallic wires were looped around the bodies.

The report revealed that “both victims are believed to be between 35 and 40 years old and 5’5” tall.” One of them bears the tattoos “Commando J. Alvarez” and “Saturnino” on his right leg and back, respectively. The other dead man has “Lando Hercodes” tattoo on his right arm.
